1915 Pan-Pacific Expo, Commemorative Medal
Country: United States
(This item is not for sale - please refer to the header at the top of this page) Large format commemorative medal struck for the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition. This was a "stock" design with a blank Reverse, meant to be engraved for a specific event or meeting. As such, each is by definition unique. This particular medal was issued for the a Safety Conference held September 28, 1915, by the Industrial Accident Commission of California and the National Safety Council. I am calling this item "AU", as the surfaces appear to have been lightly wiped at some point, however no serious problems to note. Not too many of these floating around - I note that another exonumia dealer that I know had one available at the end of 2013 at about $350, and one sold at auction with a large firm that specializes in Exonumia in 2013 for over $400. Valued at about $300, this item is not currently for sale.
