1915 Pan-Pacific Expo, Medal of Award
Country: United States
Bronze Medal of Award, in the original hard case, issued to exhibitors at the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition. These were issued in gold, silver and bronze, the bronze being the most common. However, they were quite often mishandled, suffering marks, dings and the occasional cleaning - many if not most of the outer cases were lost. This example is 99% original - the upper half of the case is missing it's lining, however it is possible that this is how it was issued (i.e. somewhat defective if you want to look at it that way). The medal is original and uncleaned, and thus shows some evidence of skin contact.
