Overton-109. This coin appears fully original, however the surfaces are a bit scruffy.  Based upon the discussion with the prior owner, this was recovered from a loose lot of coins on the East Coast owned by a non-collector, a typical source.  The first image of the Obverse is true to color - the other two images were taken with lighting that shows the detail a bit better.  Significant remaining luster around the rims and into the fields is slightly obscured by the surface marks, so I could not show it that well.  Regardless of the slightly less than perfect surfaces, a SHARP, nice example and perfect for Type, which should continue to tone back over time.  Overall details of what will normally certify in the AU-53+ range; it is my opinion that this would most likely not certify in a "clean" holder (based upon the current stubbornness of both major surfaces) so I have not bothered to try.  Offered well below what a certified example of this early date would bring, this should certainly offer a value for someone who might want to take the shot, considering that AU-50 Bid (Wholesale) is $850.  You will have to decide if the coin warrants the price being asked.
