A nice example of the first year of U. S. Nickel coinage, in an ANACS MS-63 slab, very PQ for the assigned grade. Frankly, this appears undergraded, as it is basically identical to the PCGS certified MS-64 example also listed. Regardless, a heck of a nice coin, with attractive toning, very unusual for a Shield Nickel. Certainly worth a premium. Unfortunately, CAC will not accept coins other than PCGS or NGC for consideration - in my personal opinion, another example of the bias that has crept into “grading the graders”.
