A high grade example of Snow-16, widely blundered date, with two additional date punches in the Eagle's chest. For reasons that escape me, not a recognized PCGS variety. However, fully obvious with the large die break/chip in the center. As well. the remnant of the bottom curve of one of the errant 8's is clearly visible. Unlike many original Uncirculated examples of this date which tend to be toned or colored darker, this coin has nice bright, flashy surfaces with shades of peach and light red. The last two PCGS/CAC examples in the grade sold at auction for $1939 (2017) and $1725 (2010), both of which had less eye appeal than the specimen offered here in my opinion. Certainly worth a premium for the attractive surfaces.
