1913-S Barber Quarter, Good to Very Good, ANACS Certified Key Date
A solid circulated example of the second toughest coin in the Barber Quarter set. Well struck for the date, which typically has rim weakness on one or the other side, even in Very Good. This shows two letters of LIBERTY and just a touch of 2 others, and is solid for the assigned grade. My opinion is that it would likely cross to PCGS or NGC, despite showing some scuffiness. Hard to tell if this is from an ancient cleaning or just general wear and tear, however this should not be too much of a problem as cleaning or outright damage is commonly accepted by the major grading services for this and the 1901-S Quarter, due to demand for certified examples. The color is certainly what I expect for the amount of circulation war and the age of the coin. Mox Nix – if someone wants a decent lower end circulated example for an album set, this would be an excellent choice, whether left in the current holder or not.
