An attractive example of this early Silver Dollar, with no major marks, dings, dents, etc. This shows an extremely old, light cleaning similar to probably 80-90% of all early Dollars, which has very evenly toned over. Cleaning on Bust Dollars is accepted as “normal” by the grading services and is not a disqualifying factor in certification, unless egregious. I will note that CAC would not necessarily sticker such a coin, as they are more and more checking the quality, NOT the grade - which in this case is certainly more than OK. Please note: this generation of PCGS holder was designed with a lens that is slightly bulged outward, which commonly leads to some scuffing on the Reverse side over the edges of the coin. This can be seen in my Rev. image as a couple of “hazy” areas. However no physical damage and the external hologram is intact. I have accounted for the less than “perfect” surfaces in my pricing, which with my standard 5% discount for payment by check is Net $3,200. More than reasonable given that the PCGS Guide value is $3,600.
