An attractive, original lightly circulated example of this underrated variety.  Estimates by Bowers and others suggest that as few as 12,000 may have been originally struck.  While a true scarcity in BU grades, oddly enough PCGS estimates that more may exist today as Uncs than circulated, likely due to limited distribution at the time they were made.  324 coins in the grade at PCGS+NGC, versus only 6 CAC and 3 CACG.  Until recently limited value likely kept a lot of coins from being submitted for grading, let alone sent to CAC.  That has begun to change not only as this is a Top 100 variety, but due to to the abuse many examples saw when old sealed bags were dumped into circulation in the 1940's-60's at the casinos preventing coins from passing.  As an example: NGC shows more "Net" graded coins in AU than the combined regular PCGS/NGC Populations.  A sleeper in any grade, more so with any degree of eye appeal.
