A Gem Uncirculated example of the ever popular 1960’s Bashlow restrike of the Confederate Cent, in Silver. Bashlow made transfer dies from the original, cancelled dies previously owned by John Hazeltine, who struck copies off in the late 1800’s. Silver is the “middle” child in the Cent series, the Goldine examples being scarcer in my experience, although a bit less popular. No spots or stains, nor any of the dark grease streaks/spots that sometimes appear on these issues - acquired from the original 1960’s purchaser.
