This appears to be an example of the Fortin 121a variety.  The heavy die crack on the Reverse from 4:00 to 5:00 is readily evident, although oddly enough the Reverse of this coin seems to be struck a bit better overall than the example shown on Fortin’s site.  The Obverse die shows the characteristic weakness in the lettering and left hand portion of the Shield, as well as the die crack extending from the left foot of the “1”.  The die crack through UNITED STATES is also obvious although it does not show into Liberty’s head, so this appears to be a slightly earlier state than the example used as the plate coin.  Otherwise, an original BU coin with some general light Obverse marks that would keep it in the lower Uncirculated grades if submitted.  If submitted for grading, I will guarantee an Uncirculated grade, just not a particular “number” - most likely this would come back MS-61 or 62.  PCGS recognizes the Fortin number, with the current population being Zero (NGC does not attribute these apparently, even if submitted under the Variety program).  I have not bothered largely as I don’t have anything else similar to go right now, and they are being very slow (as usual).  Fortin suggests this as an R-5, with a premium of 50-100%; as such values are transitive and subject to opinion, anyone with a substantive disagreement with me is welcome to make an offer.
