(Coming back from PCGS) Generally stronger around the periphery than usual; this is a chronic problem with this date and the 1921-D Dimes, as noted in Lange.  Signs of a very old light cleaning however the color is good and would be considered “original enough” based upon typical market standards. Certainly, PCGS did not have a problem with the coin. A solid circulated example for a mid-grade set.  Individual coin images taken prior to submission, as (frankly) the PCGS images are typically a bit dark & muddy, in my opinion.
