1907 Barber Half Dollar, PCGS/CAC XF-40, PQ Even For A CAC Coin
$349.00
An attractive circulated example of this common date. 28 coins at PCGS in the grade and 8 NGC, versus 5 at CAC (Zero CACG). Interestingly enough, for a common date fewer graded overall between F-12 (about the lowest grade that will encourage submission) and AU-55 than you would expect: 343 at PCGS and 118 NGC, versus 393 PCGS and 123 NGC for the similar Mintage 1906-P. This coin is very sharp with obvious luster, and I could see it in an EF-45 holder. The small “dot” on Liberty’s cap is a very shallow surface spot, probably from contact with moisture at some point in the distant past – it certainly did not bother CAC.
