Out of an old California hoard, with very attractive old toning - I think the images speak for themselves … or maybe not fully, as they don’t really show the bright underlying luster on this coin.  Considered a common date for an early S Mint Walker overall, certainly not so in AU grades and above.  217 at PCGS, 163 at NGC versus 37 at CAC, plus 2 in the new CACG holder.  A little larger number both certified and at CAC, just as the large increase in value encourages submission (AU-55 to AU-58 jumps about 40% in value).  A date not known for a good strike due to the large Mintage, this is a pleasant exception, with good definition in Liberty’s central body area and left hand, plus most of the Eagle’s chest feathers, allowing for the light wear.  I really like this coin and am pricing it at “stupid” money, being in no rush to see it gone.   Please note that due to value this will require shipping with Signature Confirmation, hence the S&H shown.
