I think the images speak for themselves … or maybe not fully, as they don’t really show the bright underlying luster on this coin. Out of an old California hoard, luckily this avoided any negative environmental issues while in non-numismatic storage. Considered a common date for an early S Mint Walker overall, certainly not so in AU grades and above. And not known for a good strike due to the large Mintage, this is a pleasant exception, with good definition in Liberty’s central body area and left hand, and most of the Eagle’s chest feathers, allowing for the light wear. I really like this coin and am pricing it at “stupid” money, being in no rush to see it gone.
