A nice original Choice AU example of this popular Civil War Era date. Considerable luster remaining which was difficult to image properly, given the tiny size of the “fishscale”. Reverse rotated 180 degrees which is not too unusual in this period. In my opinion this should have no problem at CAC, just not worth my cost to submit it given the relatively small difference in value. Difficult enough to find a coin that will certify these days, given the number of cleaned and damaged examples. PCGS Guide value of $310.
