A very attractive coin out of the same old set as several of the other coins I also have listed. Certified at the same time as the 1895 Half listed here and also submitted to CAC - in this case “no joy”. I will point out however that this coin is virtually identical to that 1895 Half, and in fact a bit sharper overall other than a touch of striking weakness on the shield. More luster as well. So I think that this is a simple case of opinions differing; it may also be put off to the date being considered “too common”. Both the total certified at PCGS and NGC, as well as the CAC population tend to bear that out. Mox Nix - a very nice coin and I do want a premium.
