Crusty and original, with medium deep red-brown toning with some hints of orange.  This is not objectionable in my opinion and does not hide obvious luster undisturbed other than by the scattered marks appropriate to the assigned grade.  Based upon the color, this likely spent many years slumbering in a paper coin envelope.  RARE with CAC approval: 134 in the grade at PCGS, 107 at NGC, versus only two at CAC (Zero at CACG).  If you appreciate darker toned coins, certainly worth the premium for the originality, let alone the "bean".
